Though the event only goes from 5:30-8 p.m. (when the Tasting Room closes), after 8 we can head next door to Kell’s for some afterparty cocktails and food.

REMINDER:

This holiday season please consider giving to the “Georgetown University Club of Seattle Endowed Scholarship Fund” that we began earlier this year in connection with the university’s “1789 Imperative.”  The 1789 Imperative is intended to ensure the university’s ability to meet the financial needs of its undergraduate students.  The Seattle Club’s goal is to raise at least $100,000 through alumni donations to fund an endowment that provides tuition and related financial assistance to Georgetown students from our region who demonstrate financial need.

The best part of the Endowed Scholarship is that it requires minimal extra effort (and no extra money!) from you.  You only need to designate “Club of Seattle Endowed Scholarship” on your donation checks to Georgetown University, or, if you make your donations online, where it says “Direct your gift:” mark “Other” and then note “Club of Seattle Endowed Scholarship” on the “Other 1” field.  That’s it!  Your donation remains tax-deductible, and it counts both toward the “For Generations to Come” campaign and the Endowed Scholarship.  As Dean Gillis said when we launched the Seattle Club campaign, “it’s a classic twofer!”
